About GhostLine
Anonymous video interviews that protect identities while maintaining genuine human connection.
Our Mission
GhostLine enables anonymous video interviews where sources can speak freely without fear of identification. Whether you're a journalist protecting a whistleblower, a researcher conducting sensitive interviews, or anyone who needs confidential video conversations — GhostLine keeps identities hidden while maintaining human connection.
How It Works
Real-Time Video Anonymization
Video is pixelated and processed with color reduction, visual noise, and optional silhouette mode — all happening live in the browser before transmission.
Voice Masking
Audio is processed through filters that modify the pitch and add modulation, disguising the speaker's voice while keeping speech clear.
Peer-to-Peer Connection
Video and audio flow directly between browsers using WebRTC. No media ever touches our servers — only the anonymized version is transmitted.
Local Recording
Hosts can record interviews locally. The recording captures only the anonymized feed, keeping the guest's identity protected.
Privacy by Design
- No accounts required — Just create or join a room
- No data stored — We don't save any video, audio, or personal information
- Client-side processing — All anonymization happens in your browser
- Open architecture — The host never receives raw video or audio from the guest
- No server logs — We don't log connections, IP addresses, or any activity
- Self-hosted infrastructure — We operate our own servers with full control
